Job Summary: Specialist Operational EHS - Fixed Facilities plays a critical role in fostering a fair, reporting, and learning culture while ensuring compliance with GE EHS standards. This role emphasizes proactive risk management, innovation in health and safety solutions, and close collaboration with site teams to protect workers’ health and safety. Specialist Operational EHS - Fixed Facilities will actively engage with field operations, providing day-to-day support and receiving guidance and development from the EHS Leader
Job Description
What you’ll do;
Execute the EHS vision and strategy defined by the EHS Leader.
Provide daily EHS support to the facility, ensuring compliance with GE standards and regulatory requirements.
Manage regulatory obligations including permits, reporting, and policy updates.
Conduct learning teams and lead/validate accident investigations to identify root causes and drive proactive solutions.
Perform EHS audits to support compliance assurance and risk reduction.
Collaborate with operations to address EHS risks linked to equipment, processes, and site design, installation, and commissioning.
Develop, deliver, and improve EHS training programs and awareness materials.
Support implementation of EHS programs, identify gaps, and recommend improvements.
Partner with operations leadership and employees to promote and embed safe work practices.
Participate in site inspections and audits, define corrective actions, and track closure of gaps and issues.
Follow up on ATS findings, employee concerns, and compliance calendar tasks.
Initiate and participate in incident investigations and event analyses.
Develop and maintain area-specific risk assessments.
Support contractors and project managers in meeting GE EHS requirements.
Serve as subject matter expert for assigned EHS framework topics, ensuring programs remain current.
Implement and improve environmental programs and compliance systems, including recordkeeping and tracking tools.
What you’ll bring;
Diploma in Health & Safety related backgrounds OR Bachelor’s degree from an accredited universities in related education backgrounds
Minimum 3 years’ direct EHS experience in a manufacturing/industrial setting.
Strong English and Arabic skills (spoken and written).
Proficient in Microsoft Office and web-based tools.
Eligibility Requirements;
The legal right to work in KSA without company sponsorship or time restriction
What will make you stand out;
Diploma in Health & Safety OR Bachelor’s degree in health & safety is preferred.
NEBOSH IGC OR Grad IOSH certification.
Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 frameworks.
Strong written communication and documentation skills.
Experience in employee management.
Competence in key safety programs:
Energy Isolation / Lockout Tagout (LOTO)
Work at Heights, Fall Protection & Rescue
Crane, Rigging & Lifting safety
Industrial Mobile Equipment (Forklift, Manlift, Mobile Cranes, etc.)
Ability to identify, assess, and control hazards in these areas.
Strong experience in incident investigations and event analysis.
