Specialist, Manufacturing Operation Monitoring

SUMMARY:

The MOM Business Intelligence & Support Specialist is responsible for implementing, configuring, maintaining, and optimizing MES within the manufacturing environment. This role collaborates with production teams, IT, and stakeholders to enhance manufacturing operations. You will oversee the integration of MES with other systems, such as ERP, L2, and LIMS, ensuring seamless data flow and operational efficiency. deliver all required reports/dashboards from MES systems/Applications

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.System Implementation and Configuration:
•Implement and configure MES software to meet specific manufacturing requirements.
•Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and document system requirements.
•Customize and configure MES modules and functionalities.
•Participate in all phases of systems new development including requirements gathering, development of business specifications, user acceptance test UAT, and user training.
2.System Maintenance and Support:
•Provide ongoing support and maintenance for the MES system.
•Troubleshoot and resolve MES-related issues promptly.
•Ensure system stability and reliability through regular updates and patches.
3.User Training and Support:
•Develop and deliver training programs for MES users.
•Provide ongoing support and guidance to users to ensure effective system utilization.
•Create and maintain user manuals and documentation.
4.Data Management:
•Ensure accurate and efficient data collection, storage, and reporting within the MES.
•Develop and maintain data interfaces with other systems (e.g., ERP, L2, LIMS).
•Monitor data integrity and implement measures to ensure data accuracy.
5.Process Optimization:
•Identify opportunities to optimize manufacturing processes through MES functionalities.
•Implement process improvements and enhancements within the MES.
•Collaborate with production teams to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
6.System Integration:
•Integrate MES with other enterprise systems such as ERP, L2, and LIMS.
•Develop and maintain interfaces for seamless data exchange between systems.
•Conduct thorough testing to ensure successful integration.
7.Compliance and Documentation:
•Ensure MES complies with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
•Maintain detailed documentation of MES configurations, processes, and changes.

•Prepare reports on MES performance and usage for management review.
8.Proven track record of troubleshooting and resolving MES-related issues.

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum 3 years in the IT industry and manufacturing in MES/L3, automation systems in steel, and the oil & gas fields preferred.
