Spartan Race Middle East is a leading organizer of Obstacle Course Racing (OCR) events, dedicated to providing thrilling and challenging experiences for athletes of all levels. We are seeking a passionate and results-driven Social Media Manager to join our Spartan Race Marketing Team.

The Social Media Manager will play a key role in enhancing our brand presence and driving engagement across all social media platforms. This position involves developing and executing strategic social media campaigns, managing our online community, and promoting our OCR events to inspire participation and build a loyal following.

Requirements

  • Social Media Strategy:
  • Develop and implement effective social media strategies to reach target audiences and generate excitement for our OCR races.
  • Create engaging content that showcases Spartan events, athlete stories, and community initiatives.
  • Community Engagement:
  • Manage day-to-day interactions on social media platforms, responding to comments, messages, and inquiries to foster a positive online community.
  • Engage with brand ambassadors and volunteers regularly to maintain loyalty and enthusiasm for the Spartan brand.
  • Content Creation:
  • Produce high-quality visuals and written content for various social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure all social media efforts align with overall brand campaigns and promotional activities.
  • Analytics and Reporting:
  • Monitor social media performance using analytics tools, track engagement metrics, and provide insights to inform future strategies.
  • Stay updated on social media trends and best practices to enhance our online presence continually.
  • Promotional Opportunities:
  • Identify and leverage promotional opportunities at events such as the Dubai Corporate Games, Dubai Fitness Challenge, and other relevant gatherings.
  • Collaborate with local gyms, schools, and corporate partners to amplify our reach and engagement.
  • Brand Advocacy:
  • Serve as a brand ambassador, embodying the values and mission of Spartan Race Middle East.
  • Actively participate in the health and fitness community, building relationships and fostering a strong brand presence.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in social media management and digital marketing.
  • Strong understanding of the OCR industry and the target audience.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Passion for health, fitness, and the OCR lifestyle.
  • Two years of experience in marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • Possesses knowledge and experience in the tenets of traditional marketing. Marketing degree is welcomed but not required with relevant work experience
  • Demonstrates creativity and documented immersion in social media
  • Proficient in content marketing theory and application
  • Experience sourcing, managing and publishing content
  • Exhibits the ability to jump from the creative side of marketing to analytical side, able to demonstrate why their ideas are analytically sound
  • Displays in-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms, their respective participants (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Snap) and how each platform can be deployed in different scenarios
  • Displays ability to communicate information effectively and ideas in written, audio and video format
  • Practices superior time management
  • Is a team player with the confidence to take the lead and guide other employees when necessary. (i.e.: content development, creation and editing of content, and online reputation management)
  • Maintains a working knowledge of principles of SEO including keyword research
  • Possesses great ability to identify potential negative or crisis situation and apply conflict resolution principles to mitigate issues
  • Existing connections within the health and fitness community in the region.
  • Experience in content creation and community management for large-scale events.
