Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Process Engineer to join our team in the RIYAS NGL Fractionation Department. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in refining, oil and gas, or petrochemical industries, and be highly proficient in international standards such as API, ISO, and ASME. Experience with metering systems, process safety (HAZOP, risk assessments), and troubleshooting is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review engineering work performed outside SAO to ensure compliance with SAO conditions and existing installations. Recommend or redesign modifications if needed.
- Coordinate and manage support services including drafting, surveying, materials take-off, requisitioning, and clerical work.
- Develop cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment; prepare expenditure requests and supporting documents.
- Provide engineering support to colleagues from other disciplines, offering cross-functional problem-solving.
- Conduct studies related to equipment development, procurement, and code interpretation.
- Prepare engineering specifications for materials and equipment and resolve technical issues.
- Design process solutions considering operational, economic, and environmental factors.
- Ensure construction activities conform to engineering specifications, standards, and schedules.
- Recommend design changes or substitutions during construction while maintaining budget control.
Project Engineering Responsibilities:
- Execute capital projects from initial concept through detailed design and final turnover.
- Manage engineering contractors (GES+) throughout the design phase.
- Define project scope, develop proposals, schedules, and detailed estimates.
- Review detailed design, procurement packages, and construction bid documents.
- Coordinate project execution and resolve conflicts between stakeholders.
- Monitor construction progress, track schedule performance, and address underperformance.
- Handle contractor claims and change management during project execution.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, standards, and project documents.
- Prepare reports and support company initiatives during all project phases.
Preferred Skills & Competencies:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- In-depth knowledge of API, ISO, ASME codes.
- Experience with metering systems and process safety studies (e.g., HAZOP).
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Familiarity with project management tools and reporting.
- Ability to work across disciplines in a dynamic project environment.
