Our client, a prestigious global architectural practice, is seeking a Site Lead / Resident Architect to oversee the construction supervision of a landmark hotel project in Riyadh. This role is critical in ensuring that the design intent is faithfully executed on site, and the highest standards of quality, coordination, and delivery are maintained throughout the construction phase.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary architectural representative on site, ensuring all works are carried out in compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and design intent.

  • Lead site-based supervision and coordination activities, liaising closely with the contractor, consultants, and client representatives.

  • Oversee all architectural site inspections, quality control, and reporting procedures.

  • Proactively identify and resolve design and construction issues in real-time, ensuring minimal disruption to the construction schedule.

  • Monitor progress against program, ensuring timely execution of works in line with project milestones.

  • Lead and participate in site meetings, progress reviews, and technical workshops.

  • Provide clear direction to the contractor regarding design clarifications, changes, and corrective actions when necessary.

  • Coordinate with other disciplines (MEP, structural, ID, landscape) to ensure integrated and consistent delivery.

  • Prepare site reports, snag lists, and ensure successful handover and close-out documentation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture; professional registration is a plus.

  • Minimum 15 years of total experience, with at least 5 years in a Resident Architect or Site Lead role on a major hotel project.

  • Proven track record supervising high-end hospitality or mixed-use projects.

  • Strong technical knowledge of construction processes, detailing, and materials.

  • Deep understanding of local building codes and regulations in Saudi Arabia.

  • Excellent leadership, coordination, and communication skills.

  • Fluency in English; Arabic is an advantage.

  • Previous experience working with international architecture or multidisciplinary firms preferred.
