We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Safety, Health & Environmental specialist to join our team in a Green Field Factory in Saudi Arabia. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for all employees and minimizing our environmental impact.
Focus of this role is to:
- Implement and maintain effective Safety, Health & Environmental programs and procedures.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify and mitigate hazards.
- Investigate incidents and accidents to determine root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Promote a strong safety culture and encourage employee participation in safety initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable safety, health, and environmental Nestle, ISO and local internal and external regulations.

Functional Responsibilities
- Safety:
- Contribute / implement the company Safety, Health & Environmental policies, processes, and procedures.
- Conduct Job Hazard Analyses, Internal Inspections and audits, and incident investigations. Close contact with shopfloor levels to promote zero accident mindset through available systems in the factory
- Ensure compliance with machine safeguarding, Control of Hazardous Energy (LOTO), and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.
- Develop and implement emergency procedures and train employees on emergency response.
- Conduct confined space entry, electrical safety, and hot work permits.
- Health:
- Promote employee health and well-being through programs such as ergonomics assessments, health screenings, and wellness initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with occupational health regulations.
Environment:- Implement and monitor environmental management systems.
- Conduct waste management audits and ensure proper waste disposal.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and permits.
- Support site ISO 14001 and 45001 certification.
What will make you successful…
- Academic Experience: Bachelor's degree (preferred) in Safety Management, Environmental Science, or a related field. Associates Degree (required) in Safety Management or other related field.
- Operational Experience: 3+ years of experience in manufacturing or related experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills:- Bilingual Arabic/English
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of relevant safety standards and regulations (ISO, OSHA etc.).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to effectively train and communicate safety information to diverse audiences.
