Key Responsibilities
- Equipment Maintenance and Repairs:
- Perform routine maintenance on mechanical equipment such as conveyors, motors, and pumps.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and execute timely repairs to minimize downtime.
- Preventive Maintenance:
- Follow a scheduled preventive maintenance plan to keep equipment in optimal working condition.
- Conduct inspections to identify potential issues and address them proactively.
- Installation and Upgrades:
- Assist in the installation of new machinery and mechanical systems.
- Support system upgrades and ensure proper functionality post-installation.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure all maintenance work complies with safety regulations and company standards.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including maintenance logs and safety inspections.
- Collaboration with Teams:
- Work closely with the Maintenance Engineer and other technicians to resolve technical issues.
- Support the operations team by ensuring mechanical systems meet operational demands.
- Tool and Spare Parts Management:
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Monitor and manage spare parts inventory for mechanical systems.
- Emergency Repairs:
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests and resolve issues promptly to avoid operational disruptions.
- Diploma or certification in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Mechanical Technician, preferably in foodservice or FMCG industries.
- Hands-on experience with mechanical systems used in food production or distribution facilities.
- Familiarity with tools and equipment used in mechanical maintenance and repair.
- Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations.
