About The Role & Team

Software Quality Engineer ensure the quality and performance of large-scale IT systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing, Quality Assurance, technical analysis, and team mentorship. This role involves preparing and executing various tests, identifying system defects, and contributing to continuous QA improvement.

The Software Quality Engineer also ensures that software is verified and validated against the criteria defined in both functional and non-functional specifications by defining test cases and ensuring their proper execution.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare and execute a variety of test types to ensure system functions operate at the required performance levels.
• Develop test scripts, test materials, and regression test packs to validate new and modified software or services.
• Specify requirements for test environments, including data, resources, and tools.
• Interpret, execute, and document complex test scripts in accordance with established methods and standards.
• Conduct technical testing of changes in pre-production environments and document test results in detail.
• Identify, log, and analyse bugs, risks, and issues in the system under test.
• Provide detailed test reports and analysis of test outcomes.
• Actively offer feedback to senior QA management that may lead to new testing practices or process improvements.
• Mentor, coach, and coordinate junior QA analysts, ensuring they are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed for their roles.
  
  
  

Qualifications

ABOUT YOUR SKILLS

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related IT field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software quality testing for large-scale IT systems.
• Strong experience in regression testing, test automation, and test environment setup.
• Knowledge of quality assurance practices to ensure compliance with standards and customer expectations
• Proficiency in SQL for querying and validating big data during testing processes.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Ability to model and analyse data flows, business processes, and system objects
• Experience in managing system and software changes through effective configuration management practices
