Senior Structural Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing and ensuring that structural designs comply with Saudi local codes and regulations. This role involves evaluating design notes, software outputs, and the basis of design to secure necessary permits for various construction projects.

Responsibilities:

• Review structural design notes, calculations, and drawings to ensure compliance with Saudi local codes and regulations.
• Evaluate the basis of design documents and ensure they meet the required standards and guidelines.
• Use structural analysis software (e.g., ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE) to verify design accuracy and compliance.
• Ensure all structural designs are compliant with local building codes, including SBC (Saudi Building Code), and other relevant standards.
• Prepare and submit necessary documentation for obtaining permits from local authorities.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies to address any compliance issues and secure project approvals.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and support staff.
• Conduct technical reviews and audits of structural designs prepared by other engineers.
• Stay updated with the latest developments in structural engineering codes and practices in Saudi Arabia.
• Manage and coordinate multiple projects, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure integrated project delivery.
• Prepare and present technical reports, proposals, and project updates to clients and stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of Saudi Building codes and regulations.
• Excellent project management, communication, and leadership skills.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or more in Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Master’s degree in Structural Engineering.
• Proficiency in structural design and software.
• 10+ years of experience in the field of Structural engineering.
• Excellent knowledge of engineering systems, technologies, principles, codes, and practices.
• Ability to identify problems and develop innovative solutions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical, Detail-oriented, and organized.
• Proficient with relevant software programs.
• Willingness to relocate, if required.
• Must be SCE Certified (Professional or Consultant).
• Must have a Valid and Transferable Iqama (if non-Saudi).
