The Role

As part of the Programme Management Consultancy (PMC) team for a major aviation project in Jeddah, the Senior SAS Engineer will lead the review, coordination, and integration of all Security and Access Systems (SAS) including CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, and other airport security technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate SAS design submissions from consultants and contractors to ensure technical compliance with project specifications and international standards.
• Oversee the design and integration of security systems including CCTV, access control, biometric systems, intrusion detection, and perimeter protection.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of SAS into terminal and airside facilities.
• Participate in technical workshops, design reviews, and interface coordination meetings.
• Support testing and commissioning strategies for SAS packages.

Key Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Security Systems Engineering, ICT, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in SAS design and implementation, preferably on large-scale aviation or critical infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience in PMC or client-representative roles.

Key Knowledge and Skills

• In-depth knowledge of international standards such as ICAO Annex 17, GACA, IATA, and applicable ICT/security regulations.
• Familiarity with major SAS technologies and platforms (e.g., Lenel, Genetec, Honeywell).
• Proficiency in design review, system integration, and interface coordination.
