The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying, analyzing, and managing project risks under our Project Management and Construction Management (PMCM) scope. This role will work closely with project teams, clients, and stakeholders to proactively mitigate risk and ensure successful project outcomes.

WSP is seeking a highly experienced Senior Risk Manager to support a large-scale infrastructure project in Riyadh. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying, analyzing, and managing project risks under our Project Management and Construction Management (PMCM) scope. This role will work closely with project teams, clients, and stakeholders to proactively mitigate risk and ensure successful project outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive Risk Management Framework in accordance with PMCM best practices.
- Facilitate regular risk identification workshops with project stakeholders, consultants, and contractors.
- Maintain and update the Project Risk Register, ensuring all risks are clearly documented, analyzed, and categorized.
- Evaluate the impact and probability of risks and develop mitigation and contingency plans.
- Integrate risk management with project planning, scheduling, cost control, and procurement strategies.
- Prepare and present risk reports, dashboards, and heat maps to senior management and the client.
- Advise on risk-related contract clauses and support contract negotiation and claims mitigation.
- Conduct quantitative risk analysis using Monte Carlo simulation or similar tools.
- Coordinate with HSE, design, commercial, and construction teams to align risk strategies across disciplines.
- Train and mentor junior staff on risk principles and tools.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Risk Management, Project Management, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 15 years of relevant experience, with at least 5 years in a risk leadership role on large infrastructure projects.
- Experience working on PMCM projects in the Middle East is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in risk management tools such as Primavera Risk Analysis, ARM, @Risk, or similar.
- Strong analytical, presentation, and communication skills.
- Professional certifications such as PMI-RMP, IRM, or similar are an advantage.
