Job Description

WSP is seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Quality Control Engineer to join our PMC team supervising a major Operations, Maintenance, and Refurbishment (OMR) program for infrastructure assets in Riyadh. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring quality control processes are effectively implemented and adhered to by all project stakeholders, maintaining the highest standards of engineering excellence and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Lead quality control supervision for infrastructure works, refurbishment projects, and facilities management contracts.
  • Review and approve the contractor’s Quality Control Plans, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, and Material Submittals.
  • Conduct regular inspections, audits, and compliance reviews on-site to monitor construction quality and adherence to specifications.
  • Ensure all QA/QC documentation, procedures, and inspections are properly executed, recorded, and maintained.
  • Identify non-conformances, issue NCRs, and ensure timely and effective corrective and preventive actions.
  • Interface with contractors, consultants, and client representatives on all quality-related matters.
  • Assist in the preparation and presentation of quality performance reports and KPIs.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards and WSP’s internal quality management systems.
  • Support incident investigations and contribute to lessons learned and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Mentor junior quality control engineers and foster a culture of quality across the project.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in quality control for large-scale infrastructure projects, including operations, maintenance, and refurbishment (OMR) scope.
  • Previous experience in a PMC or Supervision capacity is essential.
  • Extensive knowledge of international construction quality standards, inspection techniques, and testing procedures.
  • Demonstrated experience in working with contractors on complex infrastructure, refurbishment, and facilities management projects in the Gulf region.
  • Fluency in Arabic (native speaker) is mandatory, with strong English communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in using quality control tools and documentation systems.
