WSP Middle East is looking for a Senior QA/QC Engineer to join a PMO program in Riyadh.

Your new role, what's involved?

  • Advise contractors on the PMO's QA/QC requirements, ensuring contractor commitment and compliance with site-specific quality standards, procedures, and the Employer’s overall quality framework.
  • Review and assess contractor documents, including the Project Quality Plan, Method Statements, KPIs, and other related documentation, ensuring alignment with the PMO’s quality expectations.
  • Evaluate construction and installation methods to ensure that QA/QC procedures are implemented effectively across the portfolio, maintaining compliance with project quality standards.
  • Conduct formal site QA/QC inspections and hold QA/QC meetings on a weekly basis with the Contractor’s site management team, ensuring that recommended remedial actions are implemented and reports are submitted to the PMO.
  • Audit the contractor’s Project Quality Plan, QA/QC procedures, and site activities, submitting comprehensive reports to the PMO and following up on the implementation of corrective actions by the contractor.
  • Monitor site activities and conditions daily to identify QA/QC non-conformances, report issues to the PMO Project Manager, and ensure that appropriate remedial actions are taken by the contractor.
  • Ensure that project QA/QC programs and procedures are established, implemented, reviewed, and updated as necessary across all projects in the PMO portfolio.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and annual QA/QC performance reports, including non-conformance trend analysis, corrective actions, and remedial measures, and submit to the PMO and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Compile Lessons Learned and QA/QC close-out reports for each project, ensuring that quality lessons are captured and applied to future projects within the portfolio.
  • Attend QA/QC meetings with contractors and participate in weekly progress meetings, as required by the PMO Construction Manager, to discuss quality performance and address concerns.
  • Closely monitor construction activities and materials, including concrete pours and deliveries to ensure compliance with QA/QC procedures and contract requirements, and ensure all required tests are carried out.
  • Coordinate with the Document Control team to ensure all QA/QC documentation is properly controlled, tracked, and maintained across all projects.
  • Ensure that any non-conformity is documented and reported through a Non-Conformance Report (NCR), following up to ensure timely resolution and reporting to the PMO.

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

  • Bachelor’s in engineering, management or relevant quality fields.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in similar capacity in major construction projects with a recognized international company.
  • Specifically Trained & additional qualifications in Quality Management and Project Management will be an added advantage
  • Must be assertive, with good problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills in English
