WSP in the Middle East is looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager (Rail) to join our team in Riyadh, KSA. This is a client-facing role, based at the client’s office and requires excellent communication skills. The successful candidate will bring 15+ years of experience, particularly in rail infrastructure and design and will provide project management support across all phases of project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of major rail projects from start to finish.
• Serve as the main point of contact for the client, ensuring effective communication and relationship management.
• Manage project planning, scheduling and execution.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive and high-quality design outcomes.
• Provide strategic and technical oversight throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety standards and client expectations.
• Lead and coordinate engineering teams, ensuring integrated design delivery.
• Support the design team with technical input across all project stages—from concept to implementation.
• Engage with project stakeholders and authorities to support the development of the project and obtain the necessary NOCs
  
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Architecture or a related field.
• Minimum of 15 years’ experience in project management, with a focus on rail projects.
• Strong client-facing experience, ideally within a consultancy or design-led environment.
• In-depth knowledge of rail design.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in design-focused roles with the ability to guide and review design work.
