The Role

As part of the Programme Management Consultancy (PMC) team for a major aviation project in Jeddah, the Senior Project Engineer – FM Technical Design Management will be responsible for managing the technical design interface between Facilities Management (FM) operations and engineering design teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead FM-related technical design management throughout project phases, ensuring alignment with client expectations and operational goals.
• Act as a key liaison between FM, engineering design consultants, and project stakeholders.
• Review and validate technical submissions related to FM systems, including MEP, ELV, vertical transportation, BMS, and asset management systems.
• Ensure designs support maintainability, lifecycle cost optimisation, and operational readiness.
• Coordinate with sustainability, HSE, and commissioning teams to integrate FM perspectives into design decisions.
• Manage and report on FM-related technical risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Facilities Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in FM technical design or engineering design management, with at least 3 years in an aviation or complex infrastructure environment.
• Prior experience working on large-scale PMC or aviation projects is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of FM operations, building services design, and asset lifecycle management.

Key Knowledge and Skills

• In-depth knowledge of international standards such as NFPA, ASHRAE, SFG20, ISO 41001, and local GACA guidelines.
• Familiarity with BIM for FM, CAFM/CMMS platforms, and digital asset management practices.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and coordinate across multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic proficiency is a plus.
