Senior Media Analyst

Job Purpose

Responsible for evaluating content by applying the censorship compliance code and safeguarding the USP of stc tv and Jawwy TV which is to provide safe content to consumers. And supports in rating the content while reviewing sensitive content. The holder shall carry out his/her duties by the stipulated business policies and procedures.

Job Responsibility

• Liaise with broadcaster channel providers to obtain and verify monthly channel schedules and program images.
• Write, edit, and enhance English copy for the EPG, VOD, online platforms (including social media), and print materials.
• Ensure all content is accurate, engaging, and adheres to censorship guidelines.
• Customize content within set character constraints while maintaining a rich, marketing-driven tone.
• Perform QA checks on EPG features, including catch-up and time shift services, to ensure content accuracy and consistency.
• Collaborate with the Broadcast Engineering and IT teams to troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to the delivery of EPG and editorial files.
• Conduct thorough online research to inform content creation and verify the accuracy of program information before publication.
• Work closely with the Arabic content team to ensure effective translation of English content, maintaining the original essence and tone.
• Create and enhance Arabic-English synopsis information to enrich program data and provide a comprehensive user experience.
  
  

Content Management and Delivery

• Manage the delivery and processing of all content assets received from various sources.
• Perform transcoding, sorting, assigning, and housekeeping of assets to ensure they are correctly categorized and prepared for client distribution.
• Handle content delivery tasks, including ensuring that all media products are formatted to meet the requirements of STC’s VOD platforms.
  
  

Quality Control (QC) and Compliance)

• Review and inspect all incoming media assets (movies, series, trailers, promotions) to ensure they adhere to STC’s quality standards and compliance codes.
• Assess video and audio quality and rate the thematic content of materials according to internal guidelines and client-specific compliance codes.
• Ensure all content is free from technical defects and is compliant with legal and regulatory standards before it is made available to end-users.
