Job Description

Are you passionate about driving sustainable waste management practices and environmental stewardship? We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager – Waste Management Operations to lead and oversee waste management services for a large-scale park facility in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In this role, you will ensure the effective and environmentally responsible collection, segregation, treatment, and disposal of all waste streams, while focusing on waste minimization, recycling, and compliance with NCEC and Riyadh municipal regulations.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Develop and Implement Waste Management Plans: Create and oversee a comprehensive waste management program aligned with Saudi Vision 2030 sustainability objectives and NCEC requirements.
  • Manage Service Providers: Oversee the performance of waste management contractors, ensuring compliance with service level agreements (SLAs) and regulatory obligations.
  • Ensure Proper Waste Handling: Supervise the segregation, collection, transportation, treatment, and disposal of all waste types, including general, recyclable, organic, hazardous, medical, and construction waste.
  • Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Maintain full compliance with Saudi Arabian environmental laws and NCEC regulations related to waste management.
  • Promote Waste Reduction and Recycling: Drive initiatives to minimize waste generation, increase recycling rates, and explore innovative waste treatment technologies.
  • Conduct Waste Audits and Reporting: Perform regular waste audits, track waste data, and prepare detailed compliance and performance reports.
  • Deliver Awareness and Training Programs: Develop and implement waste management awareness campaigns and training sessions for staff, FM personnel, and facility occupants.


What You’ll Bring To The Role

  • A bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Waste Management, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience managing large-scale waste management operations, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role. Experience in Saudi Arabia and familiarity with NCEC regulations are essential.
  • Strong knowledge of Saudi Arabian waste management laws, waste treatment technologies, recycling processes, and hazardous waste protocols.
  • Proven expertise in developing waste management plans, conducting audits, and managing vendor contracts.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively promote waste reduction and recycling initiatives.
  • Relevant certifications in waste or environmental management are a plus.
