Job Description

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Manager - Design Management (Landscaping) to join our team! The Senior Design Manager – Landscaping is responsible to manage a team of landscape architects who’s role is to review the designs submitted by Lead Design Consultants (LDC) on various design packages. This role requires a blend of creative vision, technical expertise, and leadership skills to ensure that projects meet client expectations.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead and manage the landscaping design team, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality design output.
• Develop and present innovative landscaping designs that align with client requirements and project goals.
• Collaborate with clients, architects, and other stakeholders to understand project scope and objectives.
• Prepare detailed design plans, sketches, and specifications for landscaping projects.
• Oversee the selection of plants, materials, and other landscaping elements.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, codes, and standards.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
• Conduct site visits to assess project progress and address any issues that arise.
• Mentor junior designers and support their professional development.
• Stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
  
  
  

What Required Skills You'll Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture, Design, or a related field.
• Minimum of 20 years of experience in landscaping or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Strong knowledge of plants, gardening techniques, and landscape design principles.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Proficiency in landscaping software and tools.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Prior experience must include significant project management, delivery management, technical management assignments at the Senior level.
