THE ROLE

The Senior Learning & Advisory Specialist will support the Dubai-based Learning & Advisory and Global Knowledge teams by conducting research, regulatory analysis, content creation, and knowledge management. This role will involve delivering consulting and advisory services and facilitating both internal and external knowledge-sharing sessions.

The primary geographic focus is on Saudi Arabia and the GCC, with additional responsibility for the wider Middle East and North Africa region. You will collaborate closely with various teams across Fragomen, external vendors, and government authorities to ensure accurate, timely updates on immigration, labor, and related topics. Additionally, you will contribute to thought leadership, engaging in government advisory projects, drafting blogs, supporting marketing initiatives, and more.

Overall Responsibilities

  • Draft, edit, update and publish content related to immigration, labour and other related areas of regional legislation
  • Conduct regular quality control of products and processes to maintain accuracy of content and efficiency of processes
  • Research for new and existing regulations and monitor legislative changes in those regulations
  • Conduct strategic analysis of regulatory framework of the MENA region, including preparation of benchmarking and current state assessment reports, as well as other topic-specific reports and white papers
  • Work with technologies such as SharePoint, Tableau, metadata editors, and other proprietary systems to efficiently update, review and store information to support Fragomen and its clients
  • Ensure accurate time recording, case/ project progress and interconnectivity tracking
  • Coordinate with other teams and workstreams (internal and external) on interconnectivity matters
  • Take minutes of meeting and record actionable data to develop roadmaps and project plans
  • Assist with preparation of, and conduct client and internal presentations, including for knowledge-sharing sessions
  • Support with the successful delivery of projects, as required
  • Support with marketing and business development activities

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree (preferably in a related legal discipline)
  • 3+ years’ experience in a legal research or content writing role (preferably in a related legal discipline)
  • Strong written and oral communication skills and able to convey complex immigration concepts with clarity
  • Experience working with Microsoft O365 products, including SharePoint and other proprietary systems
  • Must have strong organization skills to efficiently manage priorities and quickly respond to urgent requests
  • Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced and multi-cultural setting (working knowledge of Arabic is advantageous)
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills to identify, characterize, and solve complex process issues
  • Detail-oriented approach to content drafting and review
  • Ability to analyze legislation and produce actionable intelligence
  • Ability to categorize and analyze large scale complex data sets
  • Ability to deliver results with a minimal supervision
  • Ability to conduct presentations face to face and virtually

Fragomen in Middle East:

Within the Middle East region we have offices in United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Saudi Arabia with an overall headcount of 200 employees.
