Are you a seasoned professional in landscape operations with a passion for creating and maintaining world-class green spaces? We are seeking an experienced Senior Landscape Operations Manager to lead the operational management and long-term maintenance of a prestigious urban park in Riyadh. This role focuses on overseeing third-party contractors, ensuring adherence to performance standards, sustainability goals, and safety protocols, while delivering exceptional park aesthetics and visitor experiences.
As the Senior Landscape Operations Manager, you will provide strategic leadership in managing landscape, irrigation, and hardscape maintenance. You will oversee contractor performance, ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations, and drive operational excellence. This role requires a strong technical background in landscape and irrigation infrastructure, as well as the ability to manage complex projects and foster collaboration among stakeholders.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Landscape Operations Manager to lead the operational management and long-term maintenance of a prestigious urban park in Riyadh. This role focuses on overseeing third-party contractors, ensuring adherence to performance standards, sustainability goals, and safety protocols, while delivering exceptional park aesthetics and visitor experiences.
As the Senior Landscape Operations Manager, you will provide strategic leadership in managing landscape, irrigation, and hardscape maintenance. You will oversee contractor performance, ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations, and drive operational excellence. This role requires a strong technical background in landscape and irrigation infrastructure, as well as the ability to manage complex projects and foster collaboration among stakeholders.
Performance Monitoring
What You'll Be Doing:
- Oversee and evaluate the performance of landscape and irrigation contractors using KPIs, SLAs, and regular inspections.
- Ensure all tasks meet contractual obligations, project specifications, and client expectations, addressing deficiencies promptly.
- Utilize CAFM/CMMS systems to monitor maintenance activities, resolve complaints, and manage asset lifecycles, generating detailed reports for internal and client reviews.
- Conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and toolbox talks to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Act as the primary point of contact for emergency responses related to landscape hazards, ensuring swift resolution and communication with relevant authorities.
- Maintain all landscape features to the highest standards of aesthetics, safety, and sustainability.
- Collaborate with pest control teams to manage plant health and visitor safety effectively.
- Support public events and seasonal programming by ensuring landscape displays and infrastructure align with thematic requirements.
- Implement sustainable landscaping practices, including water conservation, native plant usage, and eco-friendly pest control.
- Develop and manage work schedules, prioritizing tasks based on criticality, public use, and seasonal needs.
- Serve as the primary liaison between contractors and the client, ensuring alignment with operational goals and expectations.
- Lead site inspections, vendor meetings, and collaborative initiatives with design consultants and horticulturists to enhance landscape quality.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and environmentally sustainable solutions.
- Maintain comprehensive records of contracts, O&M manuals, and performance logs.
- Develop contingency plans for emergencies such as pest outbreaks, plant diseases, or extreme weather events.
- Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Management, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Certification in landscape management (mandatory); sustainability certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in landscape management, with 3–5 years in a leadership role, preferably in public parks or recreational spaces.
- Experience working with CAFM (Computer-Aided Facility Management) systems or similar software for managing landscape maintenance tasks is required
- Strong expertise in landscape construction, irrigation systems, maintenance standards and plant health management.
- Experience in Tree Management Systems and Plant Tagging/Monitoring Systems is advantageous.
