Senior IT Production Systems Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the implementation, maintenance, and support of IT production systems, including Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, and other related technologies.
  • Lead and manage IT projects related to production systems, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, and regulatory affairs, to ensure IT systems meet the needs of the production environment.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to minimise downtime and ensure continuous production operations.
  • Develop and implement IT policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
  • Manage system upgrades, patches, and enhancements to keep IT systems up-to-date and secure.
  • Provide training and support to production staff on the use of IT systems and tools.
  • Work with external vendors and service providers to ensure the timely delivery of IT services and support.
  • Mentor and guide junior IT staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with specific MES and ERP systems used in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Certifications in relevant IT fields, such as ITIL, PMP, or CISSP.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and data protection regulations.
Desired Skills and Experience

Qualifications:

-Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
-Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT systems management, preferably in the pharmaceutical or manufacturing industry.
-Strong knowledge of MES, ERP systems, and other production-related technologies.
-Experience with IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and databases.
-Familiarity with industry regulations and standards, such as GMP, FDA, and ISO.
-Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
-Proven leadership and project management skills.
