Your role
As a High Voltage Equipment Asset Management Consultant, you will play a key role in supporting utilities, regulators, and infrastructure investors in optimising the performance, reliability, and lifecycle value of their high-voltage transmission and distribution assets.
You will be part of EGI’s Asset Management and Operations Consulting team, working at the intersection of engineering and strategy to develop innovative asset management solutions for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and beyond. You will collaborate closely with senior clients, combining technical expertise with strategic advisory skills to help them achieve operational excellence and asset performance aligned with Vision 2030.

Your role

You will be part of EGI’s Asset Management and Operations Consulting team, working at the intersection of engineering and strategy to develop innovative asset management solutions for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and beyond. You will collaborate closely with senior clients, combining technical expertise with strategic advisory skills to help them achieve operational excellence and asset performance aligned with Vision 2030.
Your responsibilities include:
Client Engagement & Consultation
- Engage directly with clients to understand their operational and strategic challenges in high-voltage asset management.
- Develop tailored consulting approaches and actionable improvement roadmaps.
- Conduct condition and performance assessments of high-voltage equipment such as transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, cables, and substations.
- Define and implement diagnostic and monitoring strategies, leveraging data such as DGA, PD, thermography, and vibration analysis.
- Develop asset health indices (AHI) and risk-based maintenance models to guide maintenance and replacement priorities.
- Support the definition of reliability and lifecycle optimization strategies.
- Design condition-based and reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) frameworks.
- Contribute to CAPEX/OPEX optimization through lifecycle cost analysis and risk-informed decision-making.
- Support utilities in implementing asset management systems (EAM, APM, CMMS) and in aligning their practices with ISO 55000.
- Develop and document best practices, key performance indicators, and governance frameworks for asset management organizations.
- Conduct benchmarking against leading utilities and international standards.
- Translate technical and operational insights into clear, high-value business recommendations.
Background:
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- 5–10 years of professional experience in electricity transmission or distribution networks, preferably within a utility, OEM, or consulting environment.
- Proven experience with high-voltage assets, including transformers, circuit breakers, and substation equipment.
- Solid understanding of asset condition monitoring, diagnostics, and reliability engineering concepts.
- Experience with asset management systems (EAM/APM/CMMS) and risk-based maintenance methodologies.
- Candidates with experience in top-tier utilities (e.g., SEC, Aramco, NG SA) or international consulting firms are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Saudi nationals, including those currently abroad and seeking to contribute to the Kingdom’s energy transformation, are particularly welcome.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Consultative approach with the ability to translate technical findings into strategic advice.
- Fluency in English and Arabic (spoken and written).
- Familiarity with ISO 55000 frameworks and utility asset management processes.
- International exposure or willingness to work in multicultural environments.
