Qiddiya Investment Company is seeking a highly skilled Senior Development Manager - Large Festival Grounds to lead the development of expansive festival grounds that will host a variety of events and cultural experiences. This role requires a creative visionary with a strong background in project management and event planning, committed to transforming ideas into high-impact, vibrant festival experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the planning, design, and development of large festival grounds, ensuring that they meet the company's vision and event programming needs
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, design, and operations, to create multifunctional spaces that can host a diverse range of events, festivals, and performances
  • Conduct feasibility studies and market analyses to inform the development strategy and identify opportunities for unique event experiences
  • Manage all project phases, from initial concept through construction and operational readiness, while ensuring adherence to budget and timeline constraints
  • Coordinate with architects, landscape designers, and contractors to ensure compliance with design specifications and regulatory requirements
  • Develop and maintain relationships with event organizers, local authorities, and vendors to facilitate a collaborative approach to festival ground development
  • Monitor progress and performance to identify challenges and implement effective solutions throughout the development process
  • Research and integrate sustainability practices to enhance the environmental footprint of festival grounds and host events
  • Prepare and present regular updates to senior management on project status, including risks and opportunities
  • Mentor and guide team members, promoting a culture of creativity and excellence


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or a related field
  • Minimum of 9-12 years of relevant experience in large-scale project management, particularly in the development of outdoor event spaces or festival grounds
  • Demonstrated experience in overseeing complex, multifaceted projects from inception to completion
  • Strong understanding of sub-division development, event logistics, design principles, and operational considerations for large gatherings
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills, with an ability to build relationships across teams and partners
  • Ability to analyze market trends and audience preferences to inform strategic decisions
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment
  • Experience in the Middle East region is highly desirable
