Job Description
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Field Engineer - Saudi National to join our team! In this role you will get to support on-site engineering operations, ensuring the successful execution of projects, and troubleshooting technical issues.
This role requires strong technical knowledge, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety and quality. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and able to communicate effectively with both clients and team members.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Provide technical support during the installation, commissioning, and testing of systems or equipment on-site.
- Ensure that field operations comply with engineering design, project specifications, and safety standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during installation, commissioning, or maintenance of equipment.
- Assist in the implementation of engineering designs, ensuring that projects are completed according to plans, specifications, and schedules.
- Work with project managers and teams to coordinate field activities and ensure timely project delivery.
- Support field engineers in the setup and preparation of materials and tools for fieldwork.
- Monitor the quality of work to ensure compliance with design specifications and standards.
- Conduct on-site inspections to verify that the installation and system performance meet quality assurance requirements.
- Report any discrepancies or deviations from plans to senior engineers and suggest corrective actions.
- Adhere to safety protocols and ensure that all team members follow established safety guidelines.
- Conduct safety audits and provide on-site training as necessary to mitigate potential hazards.
- Help identify risks and propose mitigation strategies to ensure the safety and success of the project.
- Maintain accurate records of field activities, including work progress, site conditions, and technical issues.
- Prepare detailed reports on field activities, including system performance, maintenance, and project status.
- Ensure that all required documentation, including design drawings, equipment manuals, and safety documents, are up-to-date.
- Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and project managers to ensure alignment on project goals and timelines.
- Provide updates and progress reports to stakeholders on the status of field operations and any issues or changes that arise.
- Address any client concerns and provide solutions to technical problems in a timely and professional manner.
- Participate in post-project evaluations and offer feedback on improving processes, safety, and operational efficiency.
- Assist in identifying best practices for field operations and work with the team to implement improvements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related field). Relevant technical certifications are a plus.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in field engineering or related technical roles.
- Hands-on experience with system installations, troubleshooting, and field operations.
- Strong technical understanding of engineering principles related to the industry (mechanical, electrical, etc.).
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical documents, and manuals.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve technical issues on-site.
- Knowledge of industry standards and safety protocols related to field engineering operations.
- Proficiency with field tools, equipment, and engineering software.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients, contractors, and team members.
- Certification in relevant engineering disciplines (e.g., PMP, Six Sigma).
- Experience with specific equipment or technology relevant to the industry.
- Familiarity with project management tools and software.
- Previous experience in installation, commissioning, or maintenance of systems or equipment.
- Ability to work in fast-paced, dynamic environments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
