Role Overview:
As a Data Engineer Consultant, you'll design, develop, and manage data solutions that drive data generation, collection, and processing. You'll take ownership of critical engineering components—from data pipelines to ETL flows—maintaining data quality and enabling robust insights. You will lead as a subject matter expert, collaborating across multiple teams to influence strategic decisions and ensure seamless delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and maintain end-to-end data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows to move, transform, and load large datasets. Ensure efficiency, scalability, and reliability.
Conduct regular assessments to ensure data integrity and consistency. Implement validation and monitoring mechanisms across pipelines.
Develop innovative, high-performance data solutions that enhance operational efficiency and elevate the customer experience.
Engage with product teams, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective data solutions.
Serve as an SME and guide technical decisions. Collaborate with peers and mentor team members on best practices.
Monitor pipelines for performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements for scalability and efficiency.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Experience: 8–12 years in data engineering, with strong ETL and data pipeline expertise.
A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related analytical field .
Advanced proficiency in data engineering, data processing, migrations, access, and pipeline development.
Strong skills in SQL, Python, and modern data frameworks/tools (e.g., Airflow, Spark, Hadoop)
Proficient in ETL tools and processes.
Ability to design scalable and efficient data architectures.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and data storage technologies.
Experience working with multiple teams to identify requirements and deliver comprehensive solutions.
Proven decision-making capabilities in collaborative environments.
