Position:

Proger is looking for an experienced and highly skilled Senior Civil Design Engineer to join its Branch in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia!

About The Role

The role will involve overseeing and managing civil engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget and in compliance with all relevant KSA standards and regulations. The Senior Civil Design Engineer will play a key role in coordinating with various stakeholders and ensuring the successful execution of large-scale infrastructure and construction. This is a full-time position mainly based in Riyadh; availability and flexibility to travel are essential.

Requirements:

Job Responsibilities

• Leading and managing civil engineering projects from design to execution, ensuring quality and efficiency.
• Leading the detailed design development for large-scale infrastructure projects (e.g., roads, water retention systems, deep foundations).
• Conducting feasibility studies, site assessments and technical evaluations.
• Designing detailed drawings, specifications and technical documents for roads, drainage and structural elements.
• Supervising and mentoring junior engineers.
• Ensuring projects comply with local regulations, safety standards, and environmental policies.
• Ensuring strict compliance of all designs with local and international building codes and regulatory standards.
• Managing project budgets and tracking costs to ensure cost-effective solutions.
• Coordinate and communicate with management, clients, external vendors, contractors and local authorities to ensure smooth project delivery.

Key Competencies And Skills

• A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in design of civil engineering, with at least 3 years in a senior or lead position with direct interface with clients.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (Master's degree is a plus!).
• Strong expertise in infrastructure engineering design for road, wet networks and geotechnical as per KSA standards.
• Proficiency in civil engineering software like AutoCAD, Civil 3D, WaterCad, StormCad, SewerCad or Navisworks.
• Extensive knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and standards in Saudi Arabia.
• Strong leadership, team management and communication skills.
• Strong proficiency both in English and Arabic.
