Role Overview:

The Senior Accountant plays a leadership role in managing all of the company's day-to-day accounting activities. They are responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial information by preparing, analyzing, and providing recommendations to senior management. The Senior Accountant serves as a strategic partner to the Chief Financial Officer and contributes to the company's overall financial strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the accounting team and ensure the accuracy and completeness of accounting records and financial statements
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
• Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and other financial accounts on a timely basis
• Prepare periodic financial statements and other financial reports in accordance with applicable accounting standards
• Conduct in-depth financial analyses to identify trends, opportunities, and potential challenges
• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance and sound internal controls
• Provide technical accounting guidance and training to the finance team
• Support the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
• Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making
• Participate in the budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning processes
• Stay current on changes in accounting regulations and best practices
  
  

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA or CMA certification preferred
• 3+ years of progressive experience in a senior accounting or finance role
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and expertise in financial reporting
• Proficient in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting
• Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively and lead cross-functional teams
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Familiarity with ERP and accounting software systems
