SAP Ariba Expert

Job Description

The SAP Ariba Expert is responsible for leading end-to-end implementation and optimization of SAP Ariba solutions including Sourcing, Contracts, Buying, Invoicing, and Supplier Management. This role requires strong expertise in Ariba configuration and process design, with a focus on procurement transformation, supplier collaboration, and spend visibility.

The candidate will work closely with procurement and finance teams to align business goals with system capabilities and ensure seamless integration with SAP ERP (S/4HANA or ECC).

This position involves direct client engagement, workshop facilitation, supplier onboarding strategy, and cross-functional coordination. Experience in global rollout projects and SAP Business Network integration is expected.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead implementation, rollout and support of SAP Ariba modules (Sourcing, Buying, Contracts, etc.)
• Conduct requirement workshops and design business-aligned procurement processes
• Configure Ariba modules and manage integrations with SAP ERP (via CIG or middleware)
• Oversee supplier enablement and onboarding for Ariba Business Network
• Manage testing, defect resolution, and UAT planning
• Coordinate data migration, validations, and cutover activities
• Provide user training, documentation, and post-go-live support
• Support Ariba release management and new functionality adoption
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and audit requirements
• Lead project teams and ensure on-time, high-quality delivery
  
  

Required Qualifications & Skills

Education & Certifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Information Systems, or related field
• SAP Ariba certification in at least one key module (Sourcing, Buying, etc.)
• Project Management certification (PMP or equivalent) preferred
• Additional ERP or procurement-related certifications are a plus
  
  

Experience

• 8–12 years of experience in procurement systems, including 4+ years with SAP Ariba
• At least 2 years in a team leadership or managerial role
• Experience delivering full-cycle Ariba implementations in mid to large-scale environments
• Strong track record in client-facing roles and stakeholder management
• At least 5 years of experience in the banking sector
  
  

Technical & Functional Skills

• Expertise in SAP Ariba modules: Sourcing, Contracts, Buying, Invoicing, and SLPM
• Familiarity with Ariba CIG and integration touchpoints with SAP S/4HANA or ECC
• Strong understanding of indirect procurement and supplier collaboration processes
• Experience with catalog configuration, guided buying, and approval workflows
• Ability to define functional specs and collaborate with technical teams
• Exposure to procurement compliance and reporting frameworks
