To continue building KONE Safety Culture and proactively promote safety practices we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Safety Specialist to be based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Reporting into the Safety Manager, the successful candidate will proactively be working to ensure continuous improvement of safety performance and awareness in the business unit. We are looking for somebody with a proven track record of being a go-getter and who can collaborate with the unit functions to ensure the continuous improvement of processes, procedures and guidelines affecting safety.

What will you do?

  • Monitor the implementation of unit safety policy, processes, procedures and guidelines.
  • Provide expertise and support to the business unit on matters affecting safety.
  • Perform safety inspections/ audits to verify compliance and identify deviations and risks affecting safety.
  • Operate the accident & near miss incident investigation process, complete or verify accident and investigation reports in co-operation with line management and technical specialists.
  • Support line management and technical specialists in defining and implementing corrective and preventive actions from audits and investigation findings.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Share safety related information throughout the business unit.
  • Interact with external stakeholders (i.e. clients and authorities) in matters affecting safety, under direction from the Safety manager.
  • Conduct the training.

Are you the one?

  • Educational degree in engineering or related.
  • 2-5 years of experience in safety in elevators, construction, or related industries.
  • Passionate about safety with excellent communication, training and organizational skills.
  • Excellent English & Arabic language skills.
  • English writing skill is must.
  • Good Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
  • OSHA 30, IOSH in Managing Safety.
  • NEBOSH is preferable.
  • This role is only open for Saudi nationals.
