Risk Management and Business Continuity Director

Job Purpose

The role holder is responsible for developing and implementing Specialized’s risk management and business continuity strategies to ensure early identification, mitigation, and escalation of risks that may impact operations or strategic goals.

He ensures the design of control frameworks, KRIs, and resilience plans to maintain regulatory compliance and operational stability across all functions. The role holder shall carry out his duties in accordance with the stipulated business policies and procedures.

Core Responsibilities

• Develops Specialized’s enterprise risk management strategy, addressing internal and external factors that may impact the business model.
• Maintains and updates the organization’s risk policy, framework, and procedures in alignment with the approved risk strategy.
• Defines and calibrates the corporate risk appetite based on executive guidance and strategic priorities.
• Implements enterprise-wide control and risk standards to embed a proactive risk culture across all business functions.
• Applies a structured risk framework that enables early detection, escalation, and mitigation of strategic, operational, and financial risks.

• Ensures that continuity and resilience plans are actionable, compliant, and tested regularly for readiness under various risk scenarios.
• Designs and enforces internal control mechanisms that support operational stability and compliance integrity.
• Tracks and analyzes key risk indicators (KRIs), escalating critical exposures to senior leadership for resolution.
• Supervises periodic reviews of risk registers and ensures timely updates to reflect evolving threats and business changes.
• Drives organization-wide awareness programs on risk management, in collaboration with the Human Capital sector.
• Delivers tailored training sessions to equip employees with the skills needed to identify and address potential risks in their domains.
• Promotes a consistent risk culture by reinforcing ownership, transparency, and accountability across functions.
• Collaborates with Strategy & Governance and Technology teams to integrate resilience planning within strategic projects and platforms.
• Provides senior leaders with actionable risk insights and forward-looking scenarios to support informed business decisions.
• Monitors compliance with risk protocols and drives continuous improvement of risk mitigation practices.
