The Opportunity:

  • Develop and execute the local RWD strategy, collaborating with internal stakeholders such as PHC teams, HSPs, PJPs, Integrated Strategy Leads, Squad Leads, Market Access Functions, Medical Functions, and Portfolio Leads
  • Provide strategic guidance and scientific leadership to teams, fostering strategic partnerships and long-term vision execution
  • Enhance the acceptance of RWE in HTA and regulatory processes by working with relevant stakeholders
  • Shape the regulatory environment towards patient and data-centric healthcare by building effective relationships with regulatory authorities
  • Support real world data evaluation and evidence generation for regulatory purposes (e.g., approvals, label extensions, post-marketing requirements)
  • Collaborate internally and externally to accelerate the local acceptance of RWD in healthcare decision-making for improved patient outcomes
  • Advise teams on best practices, quality standards, and innovative solutions
  • Ensure high data quality, consistency, security, and availability throughout the data lifecycle
  • Guarantee scientific and medical compliance with data governance standards and regulations
  • Manage the RWD/E generation portfolio to address local evidence gaps, aligning with global strategy
  • Establish RWD as a foundation for data-driven healthcare decision-making and health systems advancement
  • Develop a targeted and actionable RWE publication plan
  • Identify data source opportunities and lead the application of advanced analytics methodologies for novel insights
  • Strive for scalable technological solutions and adopt emergent data collection, management, visualization, and provision tools

Who you are:

  • Awareness of changing analytics and technology trends within and outside the industry and ability to drive the organization to the implementation of those innovative solutions
  • In-depth understanding of medical and strategic aspects of all drug development stages; medical strategies including integrated evidence generation (from early phases to postmarketing), digital health and personalized healthcare, and their dependencies
  • Track record of adherence to regulatory requirements (GVP/GPP), data privacy, healthcare and medical compliance
  • In depth knowledge of national health system RWD bodies, data sets, sources and use cases/ applications, identification of evidence gaps
  • Expertise in real world data collection methodologies such technical expertise in electronic health records
  • Experience working with different modalities of real world data i.e. genomic data, image data, clinical data (EHR, cohort, survey, etc
  • Experience with running RWE studies, selecting appropriate analysis and data visualization
  • Good understanding of the strengths and limitations of clinical studies (interventional, observational research such as SDU RWE and PDC NIS, etc)
  • Minimum a Bachelor's degree or higher in a health or basic science discipline
  • Training in a quantitative field (data science, biostatistics, epidemiology, bioinformatics)
  • Desired a Master's and/or doctorate in medical sciences, data science, biostatistics or epidemiology
