Purchasing Specialist

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Purchasing Specialist with expertise in the coffee industry, fluency in Arabic, and a deep understanding of the market. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-4 years of experience in purchasing roles, with a background in procurement and a proven track record of success. Previous experience as a Buyer is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct market research to identify suppliers and source high-quality coffee beans and related products in accordance with company standards and requirements.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with local and international suppliers, negotiating favorable terms and pricing agreements.
• Analyze market trends, pricing, and product availability to make informed purchasing decisions and optimize procurement processes.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including production, quality control, and logistics teams, to ensure timely delivery of materials and products.
• Monitor inventory levels, track supplier performance, and implement strategies to mitigate risks and ensure continuity of supply.
• Manage the procurement budget effectively, identifying cost-saving opportunities and maximizing value for the organization.
• Stay informed about regulatory requirements, industry developments, and best practices to ensure compliance and competitiveness in the market.
• Provide guidance and support to junior purchasing staff, sharing knowledge and expertise to foster professional development.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus).
• Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in senior purchasing roles within the coffee industry.
• Fluency in Arabic and proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
• Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Solid understanding of procurement processes, including sourcing, contract management, and supplier evaluation.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, analyze market trends, and make data-driven decisions.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and experience with procurement software or ERP MD365 systems is preferred.
• Previous experience as a Buyer.
