Mission/Function of the Role:

As a Project Manager within our Grid Software Business in the Middle East and Africa, you will play a pivotal role in driving critical projects that align with our strategic vision.

Your responsibilities will include executing orders in line with the company's and customers objectives, ensuring each project contributes to our overall goals.

You will also maintain close relationships with customers, delivering excellent customer service to foster sustained business growth.

Your leadership will help ensure that our solutions meet client expectations and drive success in their digital transformation journeys.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery while incorporating technical and commercial briefs from Sales Teams.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, including software developers, system integrators, Project Engineers, and client stakeholders, to facilitate seamless project execution and obtain necessary technical inputs.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, issues, dependencies, and opportunities, ensuring proactive risk management and tracking change orders to establish claims on suppliers/customers.
  • Communicate project status, key milestones, and any escalations to senior management through regular reporting, including project monthly health reports, to maintain transparency and alignment.
  • Ensure adherence to Siemens' quality standards, client-specific requirements, and timely preparation of software and graphics as per project schedule throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage change control processes effectively, document all project artifacts, and utilize quality tools such as Wrike and PMCT for coordination activities, logs, net sales forecasts, and risk & opportunity management.
  • Provide leadership and direction to project team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment and ensuring timely orders for materials and resources.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction by promptly addressing their needs and concerns, and managing contracts and client interactions.
  • Coordinate with commissioning engineers/technicians for system commissioning within schedule and follow up on certification of invoices, commercial invoice authorization, and payment collection.
  • Hand over completed systems to clients, transfer to the Service Department, and analyze project performance in terms of execution time, cost, and quality, carrying out lessons learned for future improvement.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, or computer science.
  • Over 8 years of experience as a Project Manager in the software or energy/utilities industry.
  • PM@Siemens, IPMA, or PMI PMP Certification.
  • Strong working knowledge of advanced metering, network modeling and analysis, power system planning and analysis, protection simulation and related software implementation and integration.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Working with different Nationalities and Cultures.
  • Proficient in project management methodologies and tools such as Agile, Waterfall, and MS Project.
  • Fluency in both English and Arabic is required.
  • Willingness to travel within Saudi Arabia and to other countries as needed.

Key Stakeholders:

  • Clients/Customers: Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their project requirements and ensure their needs are met throughout the project lifecycle. Engage regularly to provide updates, gather feedback, and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate with software developers, system integrators, Project Engineers, Sales Teams, and commissioning engineers/technicians to ensure coordinated and integrated efforts in project execution. Facilitate communication and cooperation among team members to achieve project goals.
  • Sales Teams: Work closely with Sales Teams to obtain technical and commercial briefs for accurate project planning. Assist in aligning sales strategies with project delivery and provide feedback to enhance customer engagement and business development.
  • Senior Management: Regularly update senior management on project progress, key milestones, risks, and opportunities. Ensure transparency and alignment with organizational objectives through detailed management reports and monthly project health assessments.
  • Suppliers/Vendors: Manage relationships with suppliers/vendors, track orders, and establish claims as necessary. Ensure timely delivery of materials and resources and negotiate terms to optimize project outcomes.
  • Consultants: Coordinate with consultants to gather necessary technical inputs and insights for project planning and execution. Ensure that consultant expertise is effectively integrated into project deliverables.
  • Commercial Team: Collaborate with the Commercial Team for invoice certification, commercial authorization, and payment collection. Provide regular feedback on project financials to maintain alignment with financial objectives.
