The Role

As part of the Programme Management Consultancy (PMC) team for a major aviation development in Jeddah, the Project Engineer – FM Technical Design Management will support the integration of Facilities Management (FM) requirements within the design process to ensure the long-term maintainability and operational efficiency of the airport assets.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the review of technical designs to ensure alignment with FM operational requirements and maintainability standards.
• Assist in managing the technical interface between FM operations and multidisciplinary design teams.
• Review design documents and technical submissions related to building services, vertical transportation, BMS, ELV systems, and other FM-relevant systems.
• Monitor compliance with design guidelines, lifecycle cost considerations, and asset management best practices.
• Coordinate with sustainability, HSE, commissioning, and digital delivery teams to ensure FM integration across project disciplines.

Key Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Facilities Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 5–8 years of relevant experience in FM technical design coordination, preferably in aviation, healthcare, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Prior involvement in PMC or client-representative environments is an advantage.
• Familiarity with FM operations and technical standards related to maintainability and asset management.

Key Knowledge and Skills

• Working knowledge of standards such as SFG20, ISO 41001, ASHRAE, and GACA regulations.
• Understanding of CAFM/CMMS systems and BIM for FM integration.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to interpret complex technical documents.
