Job Description
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Project Director to join our team! You will be responsible for overseeing and managing the planning, design, and execution of high-end hospitality construction projects. This role involves coordinating with various stakeholders, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
What You'll Be Doing
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation, tailored to the unique requirements of hospitality projects.
- Coordinate with architects, interior designers, engineers, and contractors to ensure seamless integration of all project components.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions as needed to ensure successful completion.
- Provide expert technical guidance on all aspects of hospitality project design and construction.
- Ensure all designs and installations comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
- Conduct regular site inspections to verify the quality and progress of construction work, with a focus on guest comfort and operational efficiency.
- Act as the primary liaison between clients, contractors, and other stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project goals.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among project team members.
- Prepare and present detailed project status reports to stakeholders, highlighting key milestones and addressing any concerns.
- Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising quality or guest experience.
- Track project expenses and implement cost control measures to stay within budget.
- Negotiate contracts and manage the procurement of materials and services, with a focus on high-quality and sustainable solutions.
- Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, particularly those unique to hospitality projects.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Address and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the project, maintaining a focus on guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.
- Lead and mentor a team of project managers, engineers, and technicians, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide opportunities for professional development.
- Promote a culture of excellence and continuous improvement within the team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 25 years of experience in project management within the hospitality sector.
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale hospitality construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of hospitality design standards, building codes, and industry best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent are preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
