Job Purpose:
The Procurement Officer – International will be responsible for managing and executing all international procurement activities, ensuring cost-effective, timely, and compliant sourcing of goods and services from global suppliers to support the company’s operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the full cycle of international procurement, from identifying suppliers to final delivery.
Source, evaluate, and negotiate with global suppliers to secure cost savings and quality assurance.
Prepare, review, and manage procurement contracts and agreements.
Monitor suppliers’ performance to ensure adherence to contractual terms, quality, and delivery standards.
Collaborate with internal departments to understand procurement needs and specifications.
Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, international trade laws, and regulations.
Conduct market research to identify potential new suppliers and market trends.
Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions, supplier databases, and performance evaluations.
Manage risks related to global sourcing and supply chain disruptions.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, International Trade, or a related field.
Minimum [X] years of experience in international procurement or supply chain management.
Strong negotiation, communication, and contract management skills.
Knowledge of international trade laws, import/export regulations, and logistics.
Proficiency in MS Office and procurement software/tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
Fluency in English (additional languages are an advantage).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
