Skills required for Process Control Engineer

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering, or Electronics Engineering
  • 6-8 years of experience in control engineering within the petrochemical industry
  • In-depth knowledge of automation systems.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Effective communication and coordination capabilities
  • Proficiency in cyber security standards related to industrial control systems
  • Saudi Arabia Nationals only


Key Responsibilities

  • Define and follow up on Process Control Objectives aligned with refinery-wide goals
  • Develop, implement, and maintain standard control loops
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts for process control challenges and propose advanced solutions
  • Support modifications to Advanced Control Systems and ensure effective PCS integration
  • Foster knowledge sharing and continuous learning within the team
  • Collaborate with various departments such as Maintenance, Process Engineering, and Business teams
  • Develop and monitor annual process control budgets
  • Supervise and train PCS Technicians
  • Drive daily operational meetings and activities
  • Uphold cyber security standards to protect production and data
  • Encourage a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
  • Provide performance reports and key metrics
  • Represent the team in technical meetings and deliver presentations as required
