Skills required for Process Control Engineer
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering, or Electronics Engineering
- 6-8 years of experience in control engineering within the petrochemical industry
- In-depth knowledge of automation systems.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Effective communication and coordination capabilities
- Proficiency in cyber security standards related to industrial control systems
- Saudi Arabia Nationals only
Key Responsibilities
- Define and follow up on Process Control Objectives aligned with refinery-wide goals
- Develop, implement, and maintain standard control loops
- Lead troubleshooting efforts for process control challenges and propose advanced solutions
- Support modifications to Advanced Control Systems and ensure effective PCS integration
- Foster knowledge sharing and continuous learning within the team
- Collaborate with various departments such as Maintenance, Process Engineering, and Business teams
- Develop and monitor annual process control budgets
- Supervise and train PCS Technicians
- Drive daily operational meetings and activities
- Uphold cyber security standards to protect production and data
- Encourage a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
- Provide performance reports and key metrics
- Represent the team in technical meetings and deliver presentations as required
