Planning Engineer (Transport)

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using planning software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
• Establish baseline programs and track project progress against the baseline.
• Identify critical paths and ensure timely project completion.
• Allocate resources effectively and efficiently to maximize project productivity.
• Monitor resource usage and adjust schedules as necessary.
• Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation plans.
• Update risk registers and ensure that all potential risks are communicated to the project team.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather project requirements and updates.
• Facilitate regular planning meetings and progress reviews.
• Prepare and present progress reports to senior management and stakeholders.
• Ensure all planning and scheduling documents are up-to-date and comply with relevant standards and regulations.
• Maintain detailed records of project timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements in planning and scheduling.
• Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance project delivery.

Qualifications:

• Masters Degree in Transport Planning
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in planning and scheduling in the metro/rail industry.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering complex rail projects.
• Proficiency in planning and scheduling software (Primavera P6, MS Project).
• Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
