Job Description

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Planner - Saudi National to join our team! In this role you will get the development, implementation, and management of project schedules, resource allocation, and risk management. The role requires strong planning and organizational skills, the ability to manage competing priorities, and clear communication with all stakeholders. The ideal candidate will help drive project success through effective planning, proactive risk management, and resource optimization.

What You'll Be Doing;

  • Develop, maintain, and update comprehensive project schedules, ensuring timely project completion.
  • Coordinate with project teams to align schedules with the project's objectives and milestones.
  • Analyze project constraints, dependencies, and risks to optimize project timelines and resources.
  • Ensure the appropriate allocation of resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, across various project tasks.
  • Work with team leads to identify resource gaps and ensure the timely procurement of required resources.
  • Maintain and update resource availability data to prevent delays.
  • Track project progress, identifying potential delays and providing solutions to address them.
  • Prepare and present regular project status reports to stakeholders, highlighting key milestones, issues, and updates.
  • Use project management software to maintain real-time data and project status visibility.
  • Identify and assess potential project risks related to scheduling, resources, or scope changes.
  • Work with project teams to develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans for identified risks.
  • Proactively adjust schedules to address unforeseen issues or delays.
  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure the project remains within budget by tracking planned vs. actual expenses.
  • Update project schedules to account for budgetary constraints and cost optimization opportunities.
  • Ensure proper documentation and tracking of all costs, including labor, materials, and overhead.
  • Serve as a liaison between project teams, stakeholders, and clients to ensure clear communication of project objectives, timelines, and constraints.
  • Facilitate regular project meetings to ensure team alignment and identify potential issues early.
  • Present planning updates to senior management, highlighting potential project risks and mitigation strategies.
  • Continuously assess planning processes to identify opportunities for optimization and efficiency.
  • Implement lessons learned from previous projects to improve future planning and execution.
  • Ensure the planning department stays aligned with industry best practices and standards.
  • Ensure all planning activities comply with industry regulations, project specifications, and client requirements.
  • Maintain up-to-date project documentation, including schedules, resource allocations, and progress reports.


What Required Skills You'll Bring;

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. Certifications in Project Management (PMP, Prince2) or Planning (e.g., AACE, APMP) are preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in project planning or coordination within construction or related industries.
  • Proven experience in using project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project).
  • Strong understanding of project scheduling methodologies, including critical path and resource leveling.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to assess project performance and forecast potential issues
  • Proficiency in scheduling software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, especially related to resource allocation and scheduling conflicts.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP, Prince2, or AACE.
  • Experience in risk management and mitigation strategies.
  • Familiarity with project budgeting and cost management.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of construction industry standards and regulations.
