About this opportunity:

We are now looking for a Performance Monitoring Engineer with a solid background in network performance quality. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring the health and performance of the Mobile Radio Network across 2G, 4G, and 5G PS and CS, ensuring all RAN network nodes are maintained within set KPIs. You will analyze network KPIs, monitor performance trends, and generate reports to achieve agreed quality targets. You will also collaborate closely with various departments to address critical performance issues.

What you will:

• Monitor RAN KPIs 24/7 to ensure network performance meets defined targets, escalating deviations in real-time.
• Track and analyze performance trends, comparing data to detect anomalies and initiate corrective actions.
• Investigate and troubleshoot RAN degradations, performing root cause analysis and escalating critical issues.
• Generate performance reports covering KPIs, traffic trends, capacity utilization, and outage impacts.
• Conduct regular health checks and audits to maintain optimal network performance.
• Coordinate with vendors for troubleshooting, software updates, and performance enhancements.
• Oversee RAN node performance, including load balancing, congestion, and configuration audits.
• Recommend improvements based on statistical data to optimize RAN efficiency and user experience.
  
  

To be successful in the role you must have:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Telecommunication, Computer, or Electronics Engineering.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years in Network Performance Quality, with at least 2 years in GSM/GPRS-VAS network operations and maintenance.
• Technical skills: Proficiency in software languages like MS Excel (Macro), MS Access, SQL, Sybase, and experience with Ericsson Performance tools.
• Communication skills: Advanced skills for multi-dimensional tasks and customer interaction.
  
  

Additional Requirements:

• Extensive experience with Ericsson Network Elements.
• Expertise in defining and verifying KPIs using UPM.
• Ability to address issues with MSTOP auto-tickets and generate outage impact reports.
• Experience in developing Power BI reports and maintaining UPM reports.
• Strong analytical thinking and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Flexible and responsive to changing work patterns and demands.
• Self-motivated and proactive.
• Excellent coaching and mentoring skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
• Knowledge of Managed Service telecom operations practice.
• Experience with Network Surveillance and Monitoring tools.
• Skills in creating and innovating, applying expertise and technology, and working with people.
