Job Description

Parsons is seeking an experienced Operational & Sustainability Engineering (OSE) Specialist to support the design management of sustainability and operational efficiency for a large scale development project. You’ll focus on embedding sustainable design principles, energy efficiency, and operational best practices into the building and infrastructure design packages.

What You’ll Be Doing

• You’ll review design documents to ensure compliance with sustainability goals, energy codes, and operational efficiency standards.
• You’ll collaborate with design teams to integrate green building practices and smart technologies into the project.
• You’ll support the development of sustainability strategies, including LEED, WELL, or equivalent certification processes.
• You’ll monitor and report on sustainability KPIs and performance metrics during design phases.
• You’ll coordinate with MEP, architecture, and infrastructure teams to optimize systems for energy use, water efficiency, and indoor environmental quality.
• You’ll participate in value engineering sessions focusing on sustainability and operational cost reduction.
• You’ll assist in preparing sustainability documentation for client submissions and regulatory approvals.
• You’ll stay updated with emerging trends, codes, and technologies related to sustainable design and operations.
  
  
  

What Required Skills You’ll Bring

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in sustainability and operational engineering roles on large-scale developments.
• Strong knowledge of green building certification systems
• Familiarity with energy modeling, building performance analysis, and sustainable design software.
• Excellent coordination and communication skills to work with multidisciplinary teams.
• Proven ability to influence design decisions toward sustainable outcomes.
  
  
  

What Desired Skills You’ll Bring

• Professional certification in sustainability or energy management
• Experience on ultra-luxury or giga projects, preferably in the Middle East.
• Knowledge of local sustainability regulations and incentives.
• Skills in BIM integration for sustainability analysis is a plus.
