Oracle Application Consultant - Financials

The jobs in this level are responsible for supervising the development and maintenance of application systems for specified functional areas. Job holders use technical knowledge and experience in IT to plan and apply changes in processes and systems and input into developing appropriate solutions to the business through leading short-medium scale projects, they also supervise and train subordinates and develop their technical skills.

Provide the Inhouse support and New Implementation for oracle Fusion Financials Applications related solutions delivery, support , documentation and training.

Responsibilities:

• Implements approved departmental policies and procedures and ensures adherence with the processes implemented so that work is carried out in a controlled manner.
• Implements the day-to-day operations assigned for the function to ensure compliance with the established standards and procedures.
• Supervises the activities and work of subordinates to ensure that all work within a specific area is carried out in an efficient manner and in compliance with the set policies, processes and procedures.
• Studies functional requirements and discusses needs with users in order to understand and clarify the requirements from the application system to be developed.
• Carries out detailed technical planning for the assigned areas of the development project in hand.
• Carries out system analysis and design, delegating less complex tasks to team members as part of capability building and training.
• Prepares project plan and work programmer for the team, assigning tasks and responsibilities and monitors the progress of the project.
• Leads the process of system testing and ensures effective debugging.
• Implements the application software and monitors the running of the system.
• Carries out adjustments or customization to the software in line with users’ requirements.
• Trains and coaches subordinates to develop their application development skills and motivate them to work to their best potential.
• Reviewing Customer Requirements and Providing Solutions/mapping them with Oracle Financials Application General Ledger, Payables, Receivables, Cash Management Fixed Assets, Budgetary Controls ,Oracle Transaction Taxes, Financial Reporting , and Providing Functional Designs for Financials Applications Interfacing.
• Resolving day to day Functional and Month End Close Issues for Financials Applications and raising Service Request with Oracle for Applications related Bugs.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information technology or any relevant field.
• A recognized certification in a related subject might be required for certain jobs.
• PMP Training Certificate.
• Knowledge about Oracle Financials Applications, Oracle Procurement Applications and Supply Chain applications.
