Job Purpose

Coordinate in managing and maintaining the high quality of project portfolio data through developing effective processes of data entry by business users. Ensure systematic and periodic data cleansing, monitoring data accuracy and data integrity, and proactively working towards enhancing quality at entry of data in the OMS. Monitor, analyze, and report on the performance of the IsDB’s Operations portfolio data whilst ensuring portfolio data quality and integrity. through the application of quality standards and guidelines.

Key Accountabilities

Operations Data Portfolio Quality Enhancement, Monitoring, And Reporting

  • Ensure quality of operations data in the OMS system based on the agreed standards, business processes and data governance framework.
  • Regularly monitor and report on the entry of operations data in the OMS system in close coordination with the concerned business units.
  • Resolve all operations data related issues in the OMS system in timely manner and report any challenges and problems to the OQM division Manager.
  • Design and develop monitoring reports, based on the needs of the wider stakeholders, by coordinating with the Information Management and Disruptive Technologies (IMDT) department on the design and deployment of the data warehouse and related IT infrastructure for effective project management.
  • Contribute to the development and use of BI dashboards to monitor the transparency of the operations data across the project databases.
  • Provide advice in the development and deployment of tools and mechanisms to monitor the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for effective operations data management and project management and improve the functionalities of portfolio management applications.
  • Support the development and update of technical activities related to the enhancements of the core OMS system, Power BI, and other performance management tools by acting as a KBU for technical aspects, training, mentoring, and guiding the key business users across the Bank.
  • Contribute to the identification and implementation of automation processes for effective data management and quality.

Portfolio Monitoring

  • Analyze, and report on the quality of operations portfolio data and performance of the IsDB’s operations portfolio by interpreting and evaluating complex historical data from risk exposure, project performance, and other critical success factors that could be incorporated in the effective formulation of future operations strategy of the Bank.
  • Monitor and flag portfolio cleaning exercises by identifying projects facing delays and problems for remedial action.
  • Provide active support to the Operations Complex Management in the decision-making process by providing operations data in-depth portfolio-related analysis and reports as needed
  • Monitor and produce periodic analytical reports of the operations portfolio to improve the implementation performance and highlight trends for remedial actions and recommendations.
  • Adopt best practices in operations data and portfolio management based on the experience of International Development Financing Institutions, MDBs, and relevant best practices.

Portfolio Support And Enhancement

  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of the data captured in the project management systems, by conducting regular project data quality audits
  • Collaborate with IMDT Department to establish and operationalize a support mechanism for the users of the project management system within and outside the Operations Complex.
  • Support knowledge-sharing workshops, seminars, etc. for the benefit of key business users on the portfolio performance monitoring methods systems and tools, regarding the effective application of the systems in an efficient manner for optimum business delivery.
  • Disseminate knowledge related to operations portfolio throughout the Bank through regular reports, analysis, newsletters, talks, etc.
  • Guide and train key business users, OTLs, and other staff in the Regional Hubs for enhancing their knowledge and understanding of the core Operations Management System (OMS) as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and resolve any technical aspects related to the system.

Academic And Professional Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computing, Economics, Engineering, Business Administration, Sciences or related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, with a focus on operations portfolio management, business information management and database management.
