Operations Manager - 100% (m/f)

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering and operations management, with a proven ability to manage multidisciplinary teams, streamline processes, and ensure the successful delivery of projects on time and within budget. This role is crucial in driving operational excellence and supporting the company's strategic goals in a dynamic and competitive market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Leadership: Lead and manage all aspects of the company's operations, including project management, resource allocation, and workflow optimization to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
  • Project Oversight: Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of engineering projects, ensuring they meet client specifications, timelines, and budgets.
  • Team Management: Manage and mentor a multidisciplinary team of engineers, project managers, and support staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for operational improvement and implement strategies to enhance productivity, quality, and efficiency across the organization.
  • Client Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met and their expectations are exceeded.
  • Financial Management: Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for operations, ensuring cost-effective resource utilization and profitability.
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure all operations comply with industry regulations, company policies, and quality standards, maintaining the highest level of service delivery.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks related to operations and projects and develop and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior management to develop and execute operational strategies that align with the company's growth objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; a master's degree is preferred.
  • At least 7-10 years of experience in operations management.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering principles, project management methodologies, and industry best practices.
  • Proven experience in managing large, multidisciplinary teams and delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on operational efficiency and client satisfaction.
  • Proficiency in project management software, ERP systems, and MS Office Suite.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
  • Experience working in the Middle East or familiarity with regional regulations and business practices is highly desirable.
