Job Title: NDT Inspector

Job Description

The NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) Inspector is responsible for performing inspections and tests on various materials and structures to ensure they meet quality standards and safety regulations. The inspector will utilize non-destructive testing methods such as ultrasonic, radiographic, magnetic particle, and dye penetrant testing to evaluate the integrity of components and materials without causing any damage. The role involves preparing detailed inspection reports, documenting findings, and collaborating with engineering and production teams to address any identified issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct non-destructive testing (NDT) using various techniques on materials and components.
  • Interpret test results and provide detailed reports on findings.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and specifications.
  • Collaborate with other departments for product quality assurance and control.
  • Maintain and calibrate NDT equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Participate in safety audits and compliance inspections.
  • Assist in developing and implementing inspection protocols and procedures.
  • Provide training and guidance to junior inspectors when needed.

Skills And Tools Required

  • Strong knowledge of NDT methods and techniques, including ultrasonic testing, radiographic testing, magnetic particle testing, and dye penetrant testing.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
  • Familiarity with industry standards such as ASNT, ISO, and AWS.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills for documenting and presenting inspection results.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in inspection processes.
  • Relevant certifications such as ASNT Level II in one PAUT , MPI , UT , PT , RT methods is preferred.
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting purposes.
