Qiddiya Investment Company invites applications for the position of Media & Technology - Associate Director (RES237). This key role involves leading the development and execution of advanced media and technology initiatives that will elevate the guest experience in our innovative theme parks. You will harness cutting-edge technologies to create immersive environments and integrate innovative media solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Upholds and promotes QIC's commitment to safety through effective risk management practices and a proactive approach to health and safety standards.
  • Exhibits leadership aligned with QIC Values, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Oversee the strategic direction and performance of the media and technology team, setting objectives, monitoring progress, and facilitating professional growth.
  • Directs and manages media and technology project timelines, ensuring strict adherence to objectives and deliverables while identifying and mitigating risks.
  • Spearheads procurement strategies and contract negotiations, ensuring compliance with project specifications and budgets.
  • Cultivates productive relationships across departments and with external partners to facilitate project success and stakeholder alignment.
  • Guides the collaboration with external consultants and creatives, ensuring alignment with design concepts and project goals from inception through to execution.
  • Reviews integration packages for audio-visual, special effects, lighting, and interactive technologies, offering insights for improvement and innovative solutions.
  • Facilitates approvals and consensus among a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders regarding media and technology deliverables.
  • Organizes workshops and testing phases with consultants to proactively identify integration challenges and develop feasible solutions.
  • Implements quality assurance protocols to validate media and technology outputs against established benchmarks.
  • Ensures vendor submissions align with project schedules and budgets, addressing any discrepancies constructively.
  • Manages on-site integration processes for technology and media installations, aligning with creative visions and technical requirements.
  • Provides assistance to additional QIC divisions on media and technology initiatives as needed.
  • Develops and presents strategic proposals and updates to senior management, articulating project progress and objectives


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Media Production, Technology Engineering, Project Management, or a related field
  • Professional certification in relevant field (e.g., Chartered Engineer, PMP) is advantageous
  • Minimum of 15-20 relevant years of hands-on experience in media and technology production and integration for theme parks or similar large-scale entertainment projects
  • Familiarity with audio-visual content creation processes and technical integration
  • Strong comprehension of technical specifications related to AV, lighting, and ride/show control elements is essential
  • Proven experience in the deployment of advanced media solutions, including AR/VR and interactive technologies
  • Skilled in project management software and hardware tools
  • Comprehensive knowledge of media software, including proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Autodesk Maya, and BIM-related tools
  • Previous experience in the Middle East or KSA is preferred
  • Fluency in Arabic or Japanese is a plus
  • Proven ability to adapt to fast-paced work environments and shifting project needs
  • Exceptional communication skills in English to convey complex ideas and strategies clearly
  • Strong networking abilities to collaborate with internal teams and external partners effectively
  • Expertise in time management and prioritization to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Robust analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, motivate individuals, and deliver on project goals
  • Solid project management skills, emphasizing budget control, scheduling, and resource allocation
  • Experience overseeing multiple concurrent projects within a large entertainment setting
  • Capability to guide and mentor teams while ensuring quality and adherence to creative goals
