Position Summary

The Material Planner will be responsible for managing the planning and availability of raw materials and components to meet production requirements while optimizing inventory levels. The role requires strong analytical skills, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to work efficiently in a dynamic environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end material planning process to ensure the availability of materials aligned with production schedules.
  • Generate and issue Purchase Requisitions (PRs) as per the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system based on consumption trends and forecast data.
  • Analyze material demand against forecasts, production plans, and current inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstocking.
  • Monitor and control inventory levels to achieve optimal stock availability and minimize holding costs.
  • Coordinate closely with the Purchasing team to ensure timely procurement and resolve any supply chain disruptions.
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel (advanced functions) and Power BI to develop dashboards, generate reports, and analyze performance data.
  • Collaborate with production, procurement, warehousing, and other internal teams to enhance material planning processes and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support initiatives related to process optimization, demand planning, and supply chain efficiency.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Additional certifications such as CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management) are considered a plus.
  • Experience in material planning, preferably in FMCG or Food & Beverage industries.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems; familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is an advantage.
  • Proven ability to analyze data and make informed planning decisions.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis).
  • Working knowledge of Power BI for reporting and performance tracking.
  • Understanding of MRP, inventory management principles, and supply chain best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
