Marketing Manager, Spartan Race KSA

Spartan Race Middle East is a leading organiser of OCR (Obstacle Course Racing) events, dedicated to providing thrilling and challenging experiences for athletes of all levels. We are seeking a passionate and results-driven Marketing Manager to join our Spartan Race Marketing Team.

The Marketing Manager will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our OCR race by overseeing on-ground marketing and communication activities.This includes managing the ambassador program, volunteer program, organising our workout tour series, engaging with the local gym community, schools, and corporates, and actively seeking promotional opportunities at various events

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

On-Ground Marketing:

• Develop and implement effective on-ground marketing strategies to reach target audiences and generate interest in our OCR races.
• Manage and execute the ambassador program, recruiting and training brand ambassadors to represent Spartan Race Middle East (KSA) in the community, and nurturing existing ambassadors.
• Oversee the volunteer program, coordinating recruitment, training, and logistics for race day volunteers.
• Organise and execute the workout tour series to engage with potential participants and promote the benefits of OCR.
• Build relationships with local gyms, schools, and corporate entities to foster partnerships and generate participation.
• Actively seek and secure promotional opportunities at events such as Dubai Corporate Games, Dubai Fitness Challenge, and other relevant gatherings.
• Admin:
• Negotiate barter agreements and develop media plans for suppliers and venues.
• Recognise and capitalise on revenue opportunities for sponsorships or ticket sales.
• Support with media pack content and other marketing collateral.
• Communication:
• Work with our digital marketer to develop and execute effective communication plans to reach target audiences through various channels, including social media, email marketing, and traditional media.
• Engage with ambassadors and volunteers on a regular basis to maintain loyalties and championship of the brand.
• Brainstorm and plan events / activations with the wider Spartan Race Middle East (KSA) team.
• Brand Advocacy:
• Serve as a brand champion, embodying the values and mission of Spartan Race Middle East (KSA)
• Actively participate in the health and fitness community, building relationships and fostering a strong brand presence.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in on-ground marketing and event management.
• Strong understanding of the OCR industry and the target audience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Passion for health, fitness, and the OCR lifestyle.
• Two years plus experience in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
• Existing connections within the health and fitness community in the region.
• Experience in organising and managing large-scale events.
