The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for providing technical support on Valmet Flow Control products for Saudi Plant. Also, leading the technology transfer & responsible for new processes implementation. He / She must be an expert in customer standards & specifications of Valves Industry such as Aramco & Sabic. He / She shall be in line with our localization plans. He / She is responsible for their own safety and must respect HSE regulations.

Your Mainly Activities Will Be

Manufacturing Engineer will take care of all technical support activities coordinating with global Manufacturing Engineering team & Valmet factories for Saudi Plant based on Dammam 2nd Industrial City. He / She gathers details of the specifications from stockholders periodically & coordinate with them for the most effectiveness approach and maintain appropriate records aligned with Valmet policies.

Additionally, Your Activities Include

• Comply with Valmet safety standards & ensure the safety of the team working around.
• Lead & participate in new projects transfer, responsible for new process, equipment, fixtures, tooling design & qualifications.
• Create & maintain the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to guide BCs work.
• Define the standard routing time & lead the continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide both theoretic and hands-on trainings for operations staff.
• Identify process gaps or deviations, diagnose & troubleshoot.
• Lead LEAN projects in assembly/machining.
• Work with Quality Engineers to report & resolve products quality related gaps.
• Continuously optimize manufacturing process to improve product quality and production capability to meet customer requirements.
• Capex Report & Asset Control.
• Work with internal teams e.g. Sales, Customer Order Engineering, Product Lines, Global Factories to get customer requirements.  
• Manage monthly calls with Global Manufacturing Engineering Team & follow up.
• Drive cost saving/ lead time improvements plans by designing the right approach when applicable.
• Take necessary actions to improve customer satisfaction and meet the business targets.
• Managing day -to-day work related challenges / issue and meeting the organizational targets.
• Raise any obstacles/related issues in management weekly meeting.
• Any other duties as assigned by line manager or company.
  
  

What you will need to be successful in the role:

You shall be an experienced professional – if you like to be one of the focal contacts of Saudi Plant managing different types of valves & actuators business, please apply!

To be successful in this role, you will need in addition:

• Relevant educational background such as “Engineering Degree” in Instrumentation/Automation/Mechanical Engineering.
• Oil & Gas valve industry field experience is a plus.
• Proved skills of LEAN Manufacturing, has hands-on project leader experience.
• Experience in Sabic/Aramco & its JVs Specifications is a plus.
• Experience in Valve industry Localization is a plus.
• Ability to work under pressure in different operations situations and in different cultural environments.
• Good communication skills & problem-solving methodology.
• Passion for delivering best results and collaborating with your colleagues.
• Fluent in English. Other languages are plus.
