JOB SUMMARY:

  • Launch Inquiries to Freight Forwarders
  • Carry out Freight Forwarder qualification process.
  • Coordination of commercial / contractual clarifications.
  • Process shipping documents to Obtain SABER approval
  • Ensure smooth movement of goods from manufacturing locations to the sites as required.
  • Review Transportation Documents prepared by Vendors / Freight Forwarders.
  • Coordinate with Customs Authorities for clearance of goods.
  • Good experience in handling Oversized Dimensional cargo with good knowledge of the various Statutory permissions required.
  • Organize clarification meetings.
  • Establish and update in real time the Procurement systems w.r.t. transportation status.
  • Inter Departmental coordination / expediting.
  • Vendor ranking
  • To develop new strategies to economize the Transportation Costs.
  • Coordination with storekeeper and procurement team.

Obey company rules and regulations.

Financial:

  • Responsible to ensure that projects are executed and completed within time frame and budget.
  • Optimize use of manpower for higher productivity

Strategy:

Contribute to the creation and implementation of best & safe practice to improve operational performance.

Methods:

  • Utilize the project execution model to carry out tasks given in accordance to the company policies, procedures, etc. Communicate, integrate and cooperate with other discipline to achieve the common goals

Competencies and manning:

  • Is familiar with LOGSITIC activity .

Hand on working/management experience on similar oil and gas fabrication industry.

Project Execution:

  • Execute the projects according to PEM.

Follow-up activities of shipping/logsitics & take necessary preventive action.

Colleague:

  • Work closely with team members within the discipline to ensure the product compliance to the project requirements

  • Reports to the Fabrication Manager
  • Work closely with project manager and stores to ensure latest information is captured & complied.

Management and Leadership

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to plan and organize workflow in efficient manner

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

Technical Certification or Diploma in Engineering/Any degree

EXPERIENCE:

  • 5 + years minimum experience in OIL & GAS Mechanical construction field. (Preferably from same fabrication field)
  • Warehouse management/store management/logistic experience in similar fabrication industry.

Experience in managing all material shipping and logistic activity.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

  • Excellent communications and inter-personal/leadership skills are essential.
  • Ability to manage the relationship with key stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of various shipping modes and documentations .
